Welcome back to the 2nd stage of the Momentum ODI Cup. The tournament took a pause due to Ram-Slam T20 and some of the South African International Fixtures. This is the tournament to entertain the Cricket Punters till the World Cup; As very little Cricket is going to happen elsewhere.
Two teams placed 4th and 5th on a 6 team tournament. Titans have Played 5, Won 2, Lost 2 and 1 No Result. Knights have Played 6, Won 1, Lost 4 and No Result 1. Titans are marginally favorites with the bookmakers.
The biggest problem with Knights is that, they play T20 cricket very well. They play the same way in One Days also. This creates a lot of inconsistency and throwing away of good starts. Except the 342 they scored when chasing 367 against Dolphins they haven't scored anything big (The next best is 266). When Rossouw is not there, their batting unit falters (Rossouw is in International duty against West Indies now).
On the other hand, Titans post 250+ scores very consistently and their bowling unit is also very efficient. The previous encounter between these 2 teams was abandoned because of a dangerous pitch.
The match is played at Kimberly. Knights had a nightmare here. They were all-out for 162 against Cobras and the score was chased down easily.
