23-Dec is a mixed day but the end result was great. 14$ loss on the pre match tip. But In Play tip has got me 44.36$ profit. So I end the day with 30.46$ profit.

17-20 Dec-2014 - Review of the Tips and Bank

Last 3 days have been a bit bad. 3 straight losses. So I simply avoided Pakistan v New Zealand 5th ODI and it was a good decision. Pakistan gave me as loss of 2$ in the 4th ODI. First match of Big Bash gave 1$ loss and 2nd match dealt a decent 6$ blow to my purse.

These 3 matches has created a 9$ loss in total. But Australia v India test has completed faster than I expected. So this gives me a 12$ profit. Finally I'm on 12-9=3$ profit as of now.

I was expecting a 12$ profit as West Indies were struggling against South Africa. It also got landed. As I was confident on that match I played that profit on Stars. So the profit vaporized as soon as it came.

Welcome To Big Bash

Finally the Big Bash is here. Two teams with one of the Top Power Hitters in the World are facing against each other to start off.

Strikers have Pollard and Stars have Maxwell. I think Stars are slightly stronger than Strikers.

But bookmakers have priced Strikers @ 11/8 and Stars @ 4/7. I think the gap between the teams isn't that big. The main difference between both the teams is a brittle middle order of Strikers. Also I want to see how frequently Strikers will play Shaun Tait. If they play him I'm against them, because in the recent years he has been handled very easily by the domestic players also.

One interesting stat about the ground. In the recent years Adelaide Oval has been a good ground for chasing. In the 2013 Big Bash out of 5 matches 3 have been won by chasing teams. In the other 2 matches it's the Adelaide Strikers who lost from winning scenarios during the chase. This stadium has hosted 2 International T20 matches and both won by chasing teams. The ODI statistics also point to the same.

Some more stats. It's about the History of the Tournament. Stars always had a top 4 finish in the Points Table, where Strikers always bottom 4. Squads change every year but the team managements doesn't. So the mis-management should be taken as a factor.

Anyways, let's wait for the squads to decide something then.

Who is fatigued now is the mysterious question!

Technically New Zealand are the superior team. Pakistan have the home advantage. After the second test and throughout the T20s Pakistanis are the ones who looked fatigued. But New Zealand players are more fatigued after their prolonged sub-continent visit.

Most of the main New Zealand players are in the sub-continent from September (Champions League T20). They have shown lots of promise of playing against spin. But it was an extended run. Now the curtains are coming down very fast.

Naturally New Zealand batsmen can play pace and swing. They can manage flat trajectory spin. But they can't play flight, turn and bounce. They have actually over achieved in the last 4 months against spin. Now the fatigue is killing them from playing well against spin.

It was a close call in the first test. Anything would have happened. As Ravi Shastri likes to say it "All 4 results were possible".

So I can see the tipster world jumping around and say India win or on Double Chance take India or Draw.

I have some questions to this stupid tip. Indian bowling was expectedly lackluster and toothless. They completely misread a pitch that generally turns by 4th day and went in with a single inexperienced spinner. Worryingly they were all out in both the innings, where Australians declared both their innings looking for a result. The match had nearly 60 overs less as rain almost washed out 2nd days play. It's efficiently a 4 and a half day match. So how do you asses think India are going to be outright winners?

It's gonna be a green top pitch at Woolloongabba. Lyon had a pitch that helped him in the previous test. It's now time for Mitchell Johnson and Co. Looks like Hazlewood will play. So Indians should be dancing to the tunes of some out and out fast bowling.

A True Sad Story

Today I heard something which I couldn't believe.

One person has been sold a tip that Australian Legends will win against Perth Scorches and made a loss of 30000 INR.

The person who bought the tip wasn't really dumb. The tipster has sold him the tip in such a way he'll believe it.

I didn't provide a tip for that match as it was a no contest and no bookmakers provided odds.

I was so worried that how dumb the tipster will be! To believe that a bunch of 40-45 year olds who hadn't been playing any cricket in the last 2-3 years can defeat a professional franchise?

I have no qualms with tipsters taking money from people. Even I do it once in a while. But I hate these foolish tipsters: for not only them being fools, making their foolishness spread across people.

Guys beware. Don't fall into this trap. I repeat this again. There are many tipster who know nothing about cricket are tipping for money, fame and fun. Don't lose your money by following these useless, dumb shits.

This month has been quite weird. Finally it boiled down to my WordPress blog being blocked.

Sri Lanka won the 6th ODI to yield 0.61$ profit.

Pre match tip on Pakistan v New Zealand match gave a loss of -1$ and In-Play tip gave 2$ Profit.

The tip given today on Sri Lanka also won successfully. So for a 2$ investment 1.22$ profit was made.

Try a tipster for longer period of time

Don't fall into the 90%-100% accuracy crap
It's very hard to go by near 100% accuracy. The best tipsters I know on other sports too have 70-80%. You can have 90-100% accuracy may be for a week or month, not the whole year. If your tipster has more than 58% accuracy over a year and shows profits then he is the best you can get. Always look at the profits that your tipster can produce. Finally that's what you are gambling for.

Distinguish a Tipster from a Gambler
Try to follow your own betting methods for a period of time and also track your tipster's tips. Then analyse whether he makes the same mistakes as you do. If so, he is just a gambler in disguise. There are many tipsters who know nothing on Cricket or Gambling to make money from naive gamblers. Or they just want to simply gain praise from others by showcasing a non existing talent. There are always people who say he is the greatest, just because they are addicted to gambling. These addicts will easily forget the 1000s of $ they lost with him and happy only about 100$ profit they made in the last match.

Network connectivity is somewhat back. So I'll start with a quick review of the bank.

I started blogging with a initial bank of 100$ on 12-Sep-2014. In a period of 70-80 days the money has been doubled. The fact that my system is profitable and has little flaws to correct, gives a huge relief to me. Million $ is the target in 7-10 year period. At this pace it can be achieved in 3-5 years. Let's hope the good journey continues for the months to come.
