My Thoughts on My Blog

When I started writing this blog, I was worried about certain things. Will a good number of people read this? Can I capture the attention of a bigger audience? Can I satisfy them consistently and create a set of followers?

Till now, the blog has given satisfactory answers to all these questions. I have set myself a target of 1000 page hits within a year. I have managed to reach 2000 in nearly 30 days. In this pace (65 hits per day), I will be reaching 20-25K hits within 1 year.

Weekly once, I reduce the number of posts that I write for one day. I average 3-4 posts a day. But only on those days, I write a maximum of 2 posts. This is to check how many visitors are coming back regularly. 2 weeks back the number of loyal and unique visitors stood at 10-15. Now it's slightly above 30.

This month I received 2 feedbacks. First one came from my friend.

I am not discussing about other markets much. Only Match winner tips are provided.

Because of time constraints, I cannot analyse the other markets. Right now I am happy to use my trusted strategies to play the other markets (Read my Stat-Attack 1, 2, 3). To decide on the match markets, I analyse more than 2 hours a day. Writing the tips takes another hour.

I am writing about Cricket Betting because (I am hooked up to  Cricket and Betting) I think my strategies can help someone to make profits.

As I have been repeatedly saying, I would be keeping the tips absolutely free. If I have to take blogging full-time then I have to consider money blogging. I would be needing somewhere about 3000-6000 hits a day to go for services like AdSense because I have no intention of charging the individuals.

It's just a matter of 2-3 years (If my blog audience increases at the current rate) I can do this full-time. If I'm doing it full-time then more markets can be covered. Be patient till that happens.

The second feedback was about the confusion in match day and the units used for match tip.

The match day problem has been solved easily. I will be taking the start time of the match in GMT. So the readers have to interpret according to their time zones.

When I started using units for the tips no one complained, but I have kept my fingers crossed. Finally after a month, I have received a feedback.

Right now I can think about only one solution to the problem. I will be mentioning both the Bank balance and the amount to bet in $. I think this will solve two problems. The amount to bet can be easily calculated from your Bank Balance. Also I don't have to write a review about the Bank periodically.

As of 15 October the Bank was at 49 units profit. Last 5 days (including the NZ v SA ODI match) has given a profit of 8 units. So the total profit 57 units translates to 28.5$. From today I'll be starting with a Bank of 128.5$.

Hope this clears some confusions. Let me know, I'm always happy to hear more from all of you.
