First half of the month October was slightly disappointing. Matador Cup largely provided the surprising results. But 2nd half of the month went very well. Tips have fared better and the profits are also better.
Matador Cup and Momentum Cup together taught me some good lessons. I started my tips at the first match of Matador Cup. For Momentum Cup I started only at the 4th match. Momentum Cup fared better than Matador Cup overall. But the results of Matador Cup matches happened in 2nd half of October is better than Momentum Cup results.
Before I discuss the lessons learnt from these Domestic Cups, I'll review my International match tips' performance.
During the period of 01-15 Oct, out of 6 International match tips 4 Won, 1 Lost and 1 Void. The second half too the numbers were absolutely same. So the hit ratio is 80% (4/5).
Coming back to the Domestic matches:
Matador Cup - 9 matches, 6 wins, 2 loss, 1 avoided. Hit ratio 75% (6/8).
Momentum Cup - 14 matches, 7 wins, 5 loss, 1 void, 1 avoid. Hit ratio 59% (7/12).
The consistency with which international matches are tipped has very simple reasons. Most of these matches are televised and it's very easy to analyse each and every player by your own eyes. It's easy to identify how the pitch is playing out even if the commentator gets it wrong. The core teams remain the same for longer periods. International series having two matches on the same day is rare. 99% of the international matches go In-Play with the bookmakers.
None of these are true for Domestic matches. If you take the Momentum Cup, it had 3 matches on the same day repeatedly. But only 1 went In-Play.
So, what are the lessons learnt?
1) Do not enter a domestic tournament early.
2) Do not try to tip (bet) all matches happening on the same day.
It is impossible to analyse to perfection with: 100 players, 3-4 different pitches, weather reports, dew, DRS, Duckworth-Lewis, injuries, up-downs in player form, how the results went in statistical point of view, how the results went in gamblers point of view and finally weighing the unknown domestic players. It is very tough. Whatever your analysis methods are still you'll see surprises. So it's better to stick with maximum of two matches a day.
The domestic circuit win % may be a bit low. But I'm still over the rule of 58%. So I'm really happy.
Finally coming to the Bank: It's up by 13.59$ from 15th October balance of 124.48$, which totals to 138.07$.
Overall: 38.07% returns in 45 days.
