Gary Kirsten - The name that came to my mind after the first ODI. Kirsten used to be a different batsmen in different formats. South Africa batsmen showed both Test and ODI techniques in the first match.
The Mount Maunganui pitch needs patience before scoring freely. It's a tricky one and expected to remain the same throughout the series.
Kane Williamson is ruled out for the entire series. Guptill and McCullum are on a severe run drought. Except Trent Boult other bowlers aren't very threatening.
Assessing the pitch, conditions and squad strength South Africa are strong favorites.
