14-Oct-2014 - Matador BBQs One-Day Cup - Queensland v Victoria

I can see from the website stats that people are waiting for the update. Sorry for the slight delay.

OK, here we go then. Let's start somewhere different today. Patterns emerging in this tournament will make me decide about this match.

Pattern# 1
There are two reverse fixtures already completed.

NSW v QL - Both won by NSW
TAS v WAS - Both won by WAS

This match is the third reverse fixture. And the pattern should break somewhere and I think it's this match.

Pattern# 2
Chasing teams have won most matches this tournament, especially if it's a day match. And I expect this to continue at this time of the year. In day matches, teams batting first should struggle with the early morning swing and seam. But Sydney has been a exception. So bowling first is not a big advantage.

Pattern# 3
Australian domestic circuit matches are known for swing of fortunes. I have been tracking this behaviour for the past two BBLs. This is the safest method to play, where I made a mistake of not tipping very often. Just because I thought this sort of tip might not look like a tip, if I do it very often.

Tip
Odds or not favoring Victoria, But I'm thinking differently. Pick Victoria for 0.5 units pre-match @ 11/10. Also play for swing of fortunes 6/4 or 11/8 on both teams with bias towards Victoria - 1 to 2 units. I am expecting Victoria to struggle before winning. Also a small streak of favorites winning the match is occurring.

Both the bets mentioned above are advised.
