Yesterday was a mixed day, 6 pre-match tips ended with 3 wins and 3 losses. The only insight provided also lost. But the day still ended on a profit.
Let's quickly assess the tips one by one.
India v West Indies - 4th ODI
BCCI's tendency to create batting surfaces when Indian team is struggling, cost both my match tip and insight. Dharamsala is generally a bowler friendly surface. My tip was based on the idea that, the natural behavior of the surface won't be tinkered with.
After a strong score being posted and West Indies starting their innings very badly meant, no cover on India can be made to escape from a loss.
Tip
Expecting a slightly low scoring match (Below 260). Pick WI @ 2/1 - 0.5 units. Cover on India near evens - Lost
50 overs runs over under - 293.5 @ 5/6 which looks too huge for me. Go under - 1 unit - Lost
Matador BBQs One-Day Cup
Western Australia v Southern Australia
After restricting SA to a below par total, WA nearly spoilt the chase by losing a couple of quick wickets at the end of the chase. The tail made sure of the win by batting responsibly.
Tip
Western Australia - 8/15 - 3 units - Won
New South Wales v Victoria
The most irritating match of the day. NSW restricted Victoria to an on par 245 and started the chase well. Once one of their batsmen was retired hurt, they started playing painfully slow and left everything for the last five overs. Still they scored everything required well for four overs and needed 8 from the last over. They mustered only 5 from the last over. In the previous 5 overs the minimum runs scored was 9.
This is the second mysterious last over of the week; from a mere formality teams completely throwing the game away. If you had picked Australia before last over against Pakistan and went for an Acca on this match for 1$ investment you would have had 144$.
I had no time to post an in play tip. Before I could do something everything was over. I have actually managed to cover from a loss. Since I haven't posted an update on time I would consider this a loss.
Tip
Sydney is a good pitch for runs. So if NSW are batting first it gives an advantage to Victoria.
Chasing team to win - 1 unit - Lost
Momentum One-Day Cup
Australian domestic matches may be difficult to predict, but South African domestic is not.
Knights v Dolphins
Even though Knights made a good chase, Dolphins score of 367 is too big to reach.
Tip
Dolphins @ 4/7 - 7 Units - Won
Lions v Titans
Titans did not chase an on par 260 very well. I thought in this match would have the fortunes swinging, but thought chasing team winning had more merit. Titans batting lacked application which caused them to lose the match.
Tip
Chasing team to win - 1 unit - Lost
Warriors v Cape Cobras
Warriors started the chase brightly But faded away very soon.
Tip
Cape Cobras @ 1/2 - 1 unit - Won
Overall
-1-1+1.6-1+4-1+0.5 = 2.1 units profit.
