26-Oct-14 - Momentum One-Day Cup - Cricket Betting Tips
Very surprised because of one thing. Ram-Slam is sandwiched in-between. So this tournament resumes only on Jan 2015 after these 3 matches. Strange!
Had a look at Bet365. They haven't decided which match goes In-Play yet.

24-Oct-14 - Review of Tips and Suggestions
South Africa v New Zealand
Clearly a one sided match. Tip won without trouble.
Tip
South Africa - 4/9 - 4.5$ - Won
New South Wales v Queensland
NSW after a strong start looked to breeze through the match. At 175/4 they lost two quick wickets to land the tip. They were priced 7/4 at that moment. The 7th wicket partnership made sure of the win.
In-Play tips also landed to give another 1.5$.
Tip
Swing of fortunes @ 6/4 - 1$ - Won
Warriors v Knights
Warriors were available @ 11/8 after a slow start to their chase. As I have mentioned the bookmakers got the odds wrong. Warriors are losing the match.
Tip
Swing of Fortunes - Pick Knights @ 11/8 and Go In-Play to pick Warriors @ 11/8 - 0.5$ - Won
Lions v Dolphins
Dolphins restricted Lions to a below par total. Started the chase strong. Lost 2 wickets in a pair twice. Zondo made sure the bowlers' effort wasn't wasted.
Tip
Dolphins @ 1/1 - 0.25$ - Won
Titans v Cape Cobras
Most surprising match. On a clear batting surface, even with 32 extras Cape Cobras mustered only 208. Which would be never enough on this surface.
Tip
Cape Cobras @ 8/15 - 3$ - Lost
Overall
2+1.5+0.5+0.18+0.25-3 = 1.43$ profit
Bank: 129+1.43 = 130.43$

Odds for The Upcoming Cricket Matches
24-Oct-14
New South Wales v Queensland
New South Wales - 1/1
Queensland - 4/5
22-Oct-14 - Review of Tips and Suggestions
Avoid was the tip. It turned out very well. Another freakish match added to this year's Matador cup. Western Australia's fatigue issues have started to appear evidently. Whoever picked up Queensland after my suggestion would be happy.
Tasmania v South Australia
South Australia started strongly. At 212/3 in 35 overs they were easily looking at 325+. But they ended up at 295. If any of the Tasmania batsmen supported Ben Dunk the match would have had a different result. I was able to escape without any loss by going In-Play. No profits either.
Cape Cobras v Knights
The match is still going on. But I have comfortably placed myself with a profit of 0.5$ whatever happens.
Overall
0.5$ profit.
Bank : 128.5 + 0.5 = 129$.

22-Oct-14 - Momentum One-Day Cup - Cape Cobras v Knights - In-Play Tips
46/0 in 11 overs. The main bowlers are done with their spells. Cobras should score big. Pick Cobras @ 4/11 - 5.5$
49/1 in 12. Still it's a good base for a strong score. Add 1$ on Cobras @1/2.
Blistering knock in the last 5 overs gets Cobras to 285. Cover on Knights @ 4/1 - 1.5$

Cape Town
Cape Cobras v Knights
Cobras convincingly defeated Knights in their previous encounter. Cobras are First in the points table and Knights are Fifth.
Bookmakers are providing an odds of 2/5 on Cobras and Knights are priced at 2/1.
I think the odds are right to say Cobras are favorites, but they are clearly very short. I'll tell you why very soon.
Cobras have a strong batting and bowling line-up on paper. I have no complaints on their batting. The bowling is not up to the mark.
Cobras have given away more runs in their first 15 overs, than they managed to score against their oppositions (Except Knights). Their opponents failed to chase the targets because of score board pressure after getting good starts. On the other hand Knights tend to play aggressively for the first 15 overs.
If I consider the match Cobras v Knights, from 0/2 and 7/3 Knights managed well till 90/3. Soon they were 90/6. Still they were able to post 162.
This is the first match in Cape Town in this series. Chasing is much easier here. Since both the teams have bowling issues, I think the team that is chasing has more chance.
Tip
Chasing team to win.
If Cobras are chasing - 2$
If Knights are chasing - 0.5$
Bank as of 20-Oct - 128.5$

22-26 Oct-14 - Pakistan v Australia - Cricket Betting Tips
1st Test - Dubai, UAE
Pakistan v Australia
People who are visiting the blog regularly would have spotted a trend. From the T20I to ODIs, my loyalty from Australia has been shifting towards Pakistan. Even though the Pakistanis won none of the matches, the trend would continue for the test series also.
Read my previous reviews of T20I, ODI 1, ODI 2, ODI 3.
Odds for the match as of today is
Pakistan - 4/1
Australia - 7/10
Draw - 5/2

Analysis
The UAE heat is something that has bothered me from choosing Australia as clear winners. All the 4 matches that has happened in this series, I have got my tips right. And my thoughts are getting more substantiated by each passing day.
Australia
1) All the matches started after 4.30 pm to avoid playing in the desert heat. You don't have that luxury in test matches. The gruelling desert heat is something you have to deal with.
2) A long series in UAE means more injuries. Australia's in-form batsman Warner is suffering from an injury. It's just a matter of time before any one of Marsh, Johnson, Siddle and Clarke gets injured (All are coming back from injuries). Australian's should be praying that no more casualties are added.
3) The performance on the practice match is an worrying indicator. The longer the game is, more the spin overs. Losing the match against 2nd string spin bowlers is not a great start.
Pakistan
If Australia has to address many issues, Pakistan has too many.
1) Younis Khan is coming back after having issues with his board. Can he fire or fade away?
Misbah is not in any form for quite some time. Now his morale at an all-time low, is there a possibility of a strong performance by him?
As these two players form the middle order, for me it looks completely empty.
2) Spin Bowlers: Pakistan's first choice spin bowlers hadn't had much impact on the previous matches. The second string bowlers troubling Australia may make them happy. But all the front line bowlers' tricks would have been analysed by the Australian team. Do they have more tricks to beat them?
3) Fast bowlers: Unexpectedly all front line fast bowlers of Pakistan are ruled out with injuries. Can the selected ones provide a surprise performance?
4) Do they have enough mental strength to play aggressive Cricket after losing 3 ODIs and a T20I?
I couldn't completely trust Pakistan after their dismal performance. I am not completely convinced of the Australian's either.
Tip
There is no clear winner in my opinion. But the game ending in a Draw is also out of the equation. Both teams doesn't have it in them to play 450 overs, over a period of 5 days. With spinners expected to play a major part 460-470 overs is a possibility. Rain is not a worry in the desert.
Double Chance - Australia or Pakistan - 2/7 - 7$
If you have more risk appetite pick Pakistan and cover on Australia above Evens.

Western Australia v Queensland
Table toppers Western Australia are @ 4/5 and 2nd placed Queensland are @ Evens with the bookmakers.
Both the teams will be fighting tooth and nail to be the table topper, since it gives them a direct access to the finals.
Tip
WA are having fatigue issues, so I preferred Queensland. Since this match is not going In-Play I'll be avoiding this match.
Avoid

21-Oct-14 - Matador BBQs One-Day Cup - Tasmania v South Australia - Cricket Betting Tips
21-Oct-14 - 23.00 GMT
North Sydney Oval, Sydney
Tasmania v South Australia
One of the last two Round-Robin matches before the elimination final. Tasmania are @ 1/2 and South Australia are @ 13/8 with the bookmakers.
Tasmania are doing fine with the bat once they have come to Sydney. But their bowling is not up to the mark. Their batsmen finding the touch has done them greater good. After scoring 398 and losing the match, they won their next match. This shows they are ready to put a fight.
South Australia are the whipping boys of the tournament. They threw away their grip in some of the matches. Other matches they have been outplayed.
Tasmania still has a chance to make it to the elimination final. If they win big and get the bonus points, they will take the third place in the table taking over NSW. South Australia are just playing for pride.
North Sydney Oval does not have any advantage over the toss. Teams batting first have won twice and chasing teams have won twice. But all matches were high scoring ones.
Tip
Tasmania has more stakes in this match than South Australia. Their coming-back-to-form batsmen has got national call-ups. This will increase their confidence. The powerful Tasmania batting lineup and a weak South Australia bowling line up is the deciding factor for this tip.
Tasmania @ 1/2 - 1$
I will be playing low stakes, because later stages of Australian domestic tournaments are generally full of surprises.
Bank as of 20-Oct - 128.5$

My Thoughts on My Blog
Till now, the blog has given satisfactory answers to all these questions. I have set myself a target of 1000 page hits within a year. I have managed to reach 2000 in nearly 30 days. In this pace (65 hits per day), I will be reaching 20-25K hits within 1 year.
Weekly once, I reduce the number of posts that I write for one day. I average 3-4 posts a day. But only on those days, I write a maximum of 2 posts. This is to check how many visitors are coming back regularly. 2 weeks back the number of loyal and unique visitors stood at 10-15. Now it's slightly above 30.
This month I received 2 feedbacks. First one came from my friend.
I am not discussing about other markets much. Only Match winner tips are provided.
Because of time constraints, I cannot analyse the other markets. Right now I am happy to use my trusted strategies to play the other markets (Read my Stat-Attack 1, 2, 3). To decide on the match markets, I analyse more than 2 hours a day. Writing the tips takes another hour.
I am writing about Cricket Betting because (I am hooked up to Cricket and Betting) I think my strategies can help someone to make profits.
As I have been repeatedly saying, I would be keeping the tips absolutely free. If I have to take blogging full-time then I have to consider money blogging. I would be needing somewhere about 3000-6000 hits a day to go for services like AdSense because I have no intention of charging the individuals.
It's just a matter of 2-3 years (If my blog audience increases at the current rate) I can do this full-time. If I'm doing it full-time then more markets can be covered. Be patient till that happens.
The second feedback was about the confusion in match day and the units used for match tip.
The match day problem has been solved easily. I will be taking the start time of the match in GMT. So the readers have to interpret according to their time zones.
When I started using units for the tips no one complained, but I have kept my fingers crossed. Finally after a month, I have received a feedback.
Right now I can think about only one solution to the problem. I will be mentioning both the Bank balance and the amount to bet in $. I think this will solve two problems. The amount to bet can be easily calculated from your Bank Balance. Also I don't have to write a review about the Bank periodically.
As of 15 October the Bank was at 49 units profit. Last 5 days (including the NZ v SA ODI match) has given a profit of 8 units. So the total profit 57 units translates to 28.5$. From today I'll be starting with a Bank of 128.5$.
Hope this clears some confusions. Let me know, I'm always happy to hear more from all of you.

20-Oct-2014 - Update
I have decided to put this on hold for some time till I find the perfect way to track my daily record.

I'm not retiring this feature, I will revamp and bring it back in a more efficient and easy to understand manner.

20-Oct-2014 - Matador BBQs One-Day Cup - New South Wales v Tasmania
New South Wales were handed over a freakish defeat last match. Also they have lost their all-rounder Moises Henriques to injury.
Bookmakers are still keeping NSW at 8/13 and TAS at 6/5. I think the odds are wrong. NSW are already missing 9 players to international duties and injuries. Now 10th one has been added to the list.
Tip
Pick Tasmania @ 6/5. Cover on NSW above 2/1.

20-Oct-2014 - 1st ODI - New Zealand v South Africa
From now on I'll be taking the start time of the match in GMT to avoid the confusion of the match day.
So this match starts at 21.30 GMT on 20th of October.
South Africa are on a short tour to New Zealand, where they begin their World Cup preparations.
South African squad announcement has come a week ago. But New Zealand are yet to announce their squad. Only news that is available right now is Ross Taylor and Milne are ruled out of the entire series, while Kane Williamson won't be fit for the first ODI.
South Africa were 8/13 a day ago with the bookmakers and the odds are dropping day by day. Now SA are at 4/7 and NZ are at 11/8.
As South African squad looks very convincing, I'll be going with them for the first ODI.
Tip
South Africa - 4/7 - 14 units.

19-Oct-2014 - Momentum One-Day Cup
Cape Cobras - 8/11
Lions - 11/10
This will be the first time after two matches Cobras will be facing a stronger bowling unit. I think, win or lose Lions will be of lot of trouble.
Tip
Swing of fortunes @ 6/4 - 1 Units
Knights v Titans
Titans - 8/13
Knights - 13/10
Both teams are equally inconsistent this tournament. So both teams are expected to show no real grip over the other.
Tip
Swing of fortunes @ 6/4 - 1 Units
Update
Looks like this match is not going to open In-Play, Pick Knights 13/10 - 0.5 units
Dolphins v Warriors
Dolphins - 8/15
Warriors - 6/4
With only Colin Ingram coming good with the bat and a bowling line up with nothing worth mentioning, Warriors have little chance against Dolphins.
Tip
Dolphins @ 8/15 - 4 units

19-Oct-2014 - Matador BBQs One-Day Cup - Western Australia v Victoria
Victoria's problems are quite different. They had a powerful unit for the last two tournaments. Continuing with the same unit made their team an old age home. Only the class of the players is left, form has deserted them. Ageing above 30 isn't the right time where you discover your lost form quickly.
Victoria bowlers are also facing a dip in form. WA has a good depth in batting as I have mentioned repeatedly.
Tip
Pick WA at 4/6 - 3 units. Cover on Victoria around 2/1.

01-15 Oct-2014 - Review of Bank and Tips
The initial stage of Matador One Day Cup was a lot of trouble. But the International matches and some wise In-Play selections landed me on good profits.
My detailed analysis shows that Matador Cup matches played in Woolloongabba were the most unpredictable. Once it is out of the picture, the quality of the tips improved.
I have provided tips for 21 matches in this period. My 10 tips won, 8 of them lost and 3 matches were avoided. Out of the 8 losses 7 came from Matador Cup and out of which 5 are pointing to Woolloongabba.
Matador Cup — 12 matches; 2 wins and 7 losses (3 avoided).
Others — 9 matches; 8 wins and 1 loss.
September 30th stats showed Bank standing at 38.68 units profit (Pre-Match - 15.34, In-Play - 23.34).
The first 15 days of October shows Pre-Match tips standing at a loss of 12.72 units and In-Play tips making a profit of 23 units. So finally a profit of 10.28 units profit has been made.
Now the Bank stands at a very healthy 48.96 units or 24.48% profit. (Pre-Match - 2.62, In-Play - 46.34).

18-Oct-2014 - Review of Tips and Suggestions
Even though Tasmania posted a mammoth 398, they managed only 56 in first 15 overs. The required runs were easily overhauled by Queensland. They managed to do so in 8 overs.
Not only the bet was realized much quicker, I have made high profits.
Tip
Most runs in first 15 overs - Queensland @ 8/11 - 1 unit - Won
Overall

18-Oct-2014 - Matador BBQs One-Day Cup - Queensland v Tasmania
Queensland are placed third in the points table right now, Tasmania are placed fifth. Tasmania lost their matches because of a very inconsistent batting line up. To add to their misery one match also got washed out because of rain.
Things are looking fine for Queensland win, but Australian domestic tournaments are full of surprises at the later stages. So I'll be taking a different pre-match market this time.
Tip
Most runs in first 15 overs - Queensland @ 8/11 - 1 unit

17-Oct-2014 - Review of Tips and Suggestions
Let's quickly assess the tips one by one.
India v West Indies - 4th ODI
BCCI's tendency to create batting surfaces when Indian team is struggling, cost both my match tip and insight. Dharamsala is generally a bowler friendly surface. My tip was based on the idea that, the natural behavior of the surface won't be tinkered with.
After a strong score being posted and West Indies starting their innings very badly meant, no cover on India can be made to escape from a loss.
Tip
Expecting a slightly low scoring match (Below 260). Pick WI @ 2/1 - 0.5 units. Cover on India near evens - Lost
50 overs runs over under - 293.5 @ 5/6 which looks too huge for me. Go under - 1 unit - Lost
Matador BBQs One-Day Cup
Western Australia v Southern Australia
After restricting SA to a below par total, WA nearly spoilt the chase by losing a couple of quick wickets at the end of the chase. The tail made sure of the win by batting responsibly.
Tip
Western Australia - 8/15 - 3 units - Won
New South Wales v Victoria
The most irritating match of the day. NSW restricted Victoria to an on par 245 and started the chase well. Once one of their batsmen was retired hurt, they started playing painfully slow and left everything for the last five overs. Still they scored everything required well for four overs and needed 8 from the last over. They mustered only 5 from the last over. In the previous 5 overs the minimum runs scored was 9.
This is the second mysterious last over of the week; from a mere formality teams completely throwing the game away. If you had picked Australia before last over against Pakistan and went for an Acca on this match for 1$ investment you would have had 144$.
I had no time to post an in play tip. Before I could do something everything was over. I have actually managed to cover from a loss. Since I haven't posted an update on time I would consider this a loss.
Tip
Sydney is a good pitch for runs. So if NSW are batting first it gives an advantage to Victoria.
Chasing team to win - 1 unit - Lost
Momentum One-Day Cup
Australian domestic matches may be difficult to predict, but South African domestic is not.
Knights v Dolphins
Even though Knights made a good chase, Dolphins score of 367 is too big to reach.
Tip
Dolphins @ 4/7 - 7 Units - Won
Lions v Titans
Titans did not chase an on par 260 very well. I thought in this match would have the fortunes swinging, but thought chasing team winning had more merit. Titans batting lacked application which caused them to lose the match.
Tip
Chasing team to win - 1 unit - Lost
Warriors v Cape Cobras
Warriors started the chase brightly But faded away very soon.
Tip
Cape Cobras @ 1/2 - 1 unit - Won
Overall
-1-1+1.6-1+4-1+0.5 = 2.1 units profit.

17-Oct-2014 - Momentum One-Day Cup
Against the batting might and bowling strength of Dolphins, Knights stand a very little chance
Tip
Dolphins @ 4/7 - 7 Units
Lions v Titans
Both are equal teams where Titans batting is stronger. Johannesburg is a nice batting surface. Because it's a day night match, I expect the chasing team to win.
Tip
Chasing team to win - 1 unit
Warriors v Cape Cobras
Cape Cobras are looking very strong on paper. This instance I'll pick them with small stakes.
Tip
Cape Cobras @ 1/2 - 1 unit

17-Oct-2014 - Matador BBQs One-Day Cup - New South Wales v Victoria
But NSW are missing 9 frontline players. They struggled before winning in three of their matches. They have not got much from bonus points compared to Western Australia. They have won all the matches chasing.
Victorians are affected by the form of their batsmen. Still their run rate was above 5 in all the matches. If some of their batsmen can stand up they'll be a tough team to beat.
Tip
Sydney is a good pitch for runs. So if NSW are batting first it gives an advantage to Victoria.
Chasing team to win - 1 unit.

17-Oct-2014 - Matador BBQs One-Day Cup - Western Australia v South Australia
I don't think South Australians have much of a chance with the form and squad issues that they are facing right now.
Tip
Western Australia - 8/15 - 3 units
Wednesday, 15 October 2014
17-Oct-2014 - 4th ODI - India v West Indies
6 matches tomorrow and a lot to discuss. So I'll try to keep things a bit short.
Dharmasala is the venue. An year back BCCI advised players to practice over there to get accustomed to foreign conditions. Because of the high altitude swing resembles English conditions and it's a bouncy track which resembles Australian conditions.
So WI gain an advantage while considering the bowling department. But after a good performance with the bat in the first ODI, they batted poorly in the second ODI.
Tip
Expecting a slightly low scoring match (Below 260). Pick WI @ 2/1 - 0.5 units. Cover on India near evens.
It's winter in India and northern India faces extreme dew. Chasing has a clear advantage. Wait for the toss. I may revisit this tip after toss.
14-15 Oct-2014 - Review of Tips and Suggestions
Queensland v Victoria
The reverse fixture streak was not broken, Also the match was a one sided contest.
Tip
Odds or not favoring Victoria, But I'm thinking differently. Pick Victoria for 0.5 units pre-match @ 11/10. Also play for swing of fortunes 6/4 or 11/8 on both teams with bias towards Victoria - 1 to 2 units. I am expecting Victoria to struggle before winning. Also a small streak of favorites winning the match is occurring. - Lost - -2.5 units
15-Oct-2014
Australia or South Africa doesn't matter as rain had the final say in all 3 matches.
Overall
2.5 Units Loss
Odds for the Upcoming Matches

Draw 13/5
Australia 4/7
25-Oct-2014 – Bangladesh v Zimbabwe – 1st Test

I have also got the odds for the 1st ODI of SL v ENG Series (Just to give you some idea)
26-Nov-2014 – Sri Lanka v England – 1st ODI

15-Oct-2014 - Momentum One-Day Cup - Dolphins v Lions
Both teams have won their previous matches. Dolphins chased down a mammoth 340 and Lions themselves have scored a 291 and defended it.
Dolphins batting depth is major difference between these teams. Also I would not underestimate Dolphins bowling as they have given away 340 in the previous match. That pitch was a batting paradise or you can very well say a bowler's nightmare.
Tip
Dolphins @ 8/11 - 1 unit.
15-Oct-2014 - Matador BBQs One-Day Cup - Tasmania v South Australia
Both have a good batting units and weak bowling units. If I have to compare these teams, SA are better in batting, Tasmania are better in their bowling.
But I could not trust any of these to put a convincing performance against the other.
Sydney has been a high scoring venue. So I think the team batting first to score big.
Tip

The required runs will be updated once the markets open.
15-Oct-2014 - Matador BBQs One-Day Cup - New South Wales v Western Australia
The bookmakers think NSW are much stronger than WAS, I think which is wrong. Take a look at the points table. NSW have 16 point in four matches (4x4) with no bonus points. But WAS are at 15 points from three matches, with two matches giving them bonus points (6+5+4).
This means one thing, NSW have depth to come out of tough situations, while WAS have outplayed the opposition.
Tip
Swing of fortunes. Pick WAS @ 6/4 and go In Play to Pick NSW @ 6/4 - 5 units. (Playing medium stakes)

14-Oct-2014 - Matador BBQs One-Day Cup - Queensland v Victoria
OK, here we go then. Let's start somewhere different today. Patterns emerging in this tournament will make me decide about this match.
Pattern# 1
There are two reverse fixtures already completed.
NSW v QL - Both won by NSW
TAS v WAS - Both won by WAS
This match is the third reverse fixture. And the pattern should break somewhere and I think it's this match.
Pattern# 2
Chasing teams have won most matches this tournament, especially if it's a day match. And I expect this to continue at this time of the year. In day matches, teams batting first should struggle with the early morning swing and seam. But Sydney has been a exception. So bowling first is not a big advantage.
Pattern# 3
Australian domestic circuit matches are known for swing of fortunes. I have been tracking this behaviour for the past two BBLs. This is the safest method to play, where I made a mistake of not tipping very often. Just because I thought this sort of tip might not look like a tip, if I do it very often.
Both the bets mentioned above are advised.

Ambati Rayudu has been woefully out of form in the CL T20, which severely depleted the Mumbai Indians' middle order strength. He didn't make a great impact in the first ODI too. Rayudu is known for his prolonged form issues in the domestic circuit. I don't think he will discover his form sooner.
On the other hand Marlon Samuels is on red hot form

11-Oct-2014 - 2nd ODI - India v West Indies
In the previous ODI's analysis I have mentioned that, the West Indies squad, when it was announced, sounded pretty good to me after many years. I just went with Indian team only after WI's practice match performances were bad. Even when 322 was set as target, I thought, with smaller boundaries in Kochi ground and dew factor Indians will win.
Indian team is made of many players from Chennai Super Kings. As this series begins after CL T20 fatigue is a huge concern, already Mohit Sharma is injured and out of this series.
Also the opening and middle order players are not looking in good form, Dhawan, Kohli and Rayudu has to step up. Spin department's unacceptable performance is a huge concern.
West Indies bowling department isn't as threatening as it looks based on the previous match scorecard. Indian batsman just threw their wickets away. But their batting department really is threatening.
Tip
To be posted after toss.

11-Oct-2014 - Matador BBQs One-Day Cup Tips
Both teams have good bowling units. But there is a hidden problem that both have. There is no 6th bowler who can take 5-6 overs of burden.
The only distinguishing factor is that, Tasmania's batting order has depth. This makes me go with them for this match. I am also a bit over-confident of Tasmania's abilities.

This is match is played at Woolloongabba. Looks like
there are two pitches available. One is a bowlers heaven, while the other is a batting paradise. I'm not sure which is going to be used tomorrow.
As for the odds NSW are at evens and QLD are at 4/5.
Whatever the case, chasing teams hold an advantage. Also early morning swing makes things tougher for the team batting first. All 3 matches played here are won by the chasing team.

Indians are a happy bunch. They made a turn around in England. They are playing in home conditions. Their out of form players are returning to form.
West Indies are coming to India after defeating Bangladesh convincingly. West Indies squad, when it was announced, sounded pretty good to me after many years.
Oh my God! how wrong I was to think this team will give trouble to Indian team in India. They were all out 149 in a practice match against India A and the target was shot down with more than 20 overs to spare.
Going in with large stakes, as I think, West Indies don't have a chance against full strength India squad.

07-Oct-2014 - 1st ODI - Pakistan v Australia
Pakistan teams' problem is not in their quality, they are just not sure who should play which role. With Misbah back in the squad, he can bring stability to this side.
Except Warner everyone else struggled in the T20I. Only Glen Maxwell reached double figures. In my opinion he is slowly becoming the next Afridi. He wants to hit only sixes or gets out. He doesn't understand the current situation of the game. This approach won't help in UAE pitches. Except Warner and Bailey I can't pinpoint any other Australian batsman, who has the technique or temperament to play in UAE. This is the most worrying factor for the Aussies.
ODI format needs you to apply yourself for a longer periods of time. UAE heat will only compound this issue for the Aussies. 30-35 overs of spin is a different ball game.
Tip
Pick Pakistan @ 15/8 - 1 unit. Cover when higher odds are available with the Aussies.

I thought avoiding this match would make sense. Finally it made a lot of sense. The game is not as straightforward as the scorecard reads.
QLD slumped from 70/1 to 84/5. The sixth wicket partnership made some recovery. Still they ended with 190 on the board. With a small total to chase NSW were struggling at 96/5. Their sixth wicket partnership made the difference between the two teams.
Tip - Avoid
Commonwealth Bank Bushrangers v South Australia Redbacks
I handpicked this match after my Matador cup tips for the first two matches lost. It turned out to be a huge surprise.
Don't play Shaun Tait - check. South Australian team's batting is good - check. Victoria's batting order is wrong - check.
For first 80 overs, I was very confident of a SA win. Some wayward bowling or Hussey's aggressive batting or both shifted the match completely into Victoria's hands.
Tip - South Australia – 6/5 – 0.5 Units - Lost
Stat-Attack #3 - What to Expect from Shahid Afridi!
Hafeez, Younis Khan, Misbah, Razzaq, Ajmal, Umar Gul, Shoaib Akthar - Note down these 7 names before I begin my Stat-Attack# 3.
This Stat-Attack is going to concentrate on how to pick a Winner just by one factor i.e The Captain (In this case Shahid Afridi of Pakistan). I am someone who is always against picking Captains just by their Celebrity status. Pakistan board has done it again by picking Afridi for the Australia Series (Or do they have any other choice!).
Afridi has captained Pakistan in 34 ODIS. He has won 18, Lost 15 and 1 match ended with No Result. If you consider only the stronger teams (Removing matches against Bangladesh, Canada, Kenya and Zimbabwe) the Win-Loss ratio translates to 14:15. The West Indies team have been performing poorly for the past decade. Against them he has a Win-Loss ratio of 5:2. If I remove these figures too, then the Win-Loss ratio stands at 9:13.
His T20 performance also mirrors his ODI performance. He has a 8:12 WL ratio.
Coming back to the first line of the article. Throughout the period Afridi captained Pakistan (2009-2011), all the 7 players contributed heavily in the wins. While coming to the losses some of these were missing in many of these matches [There is only one match where 6 of these played together, Pakistan lost]. The notable exclusions are Misbah and Younis in Batting, Gul and Ajmal in Bowling. Whenever these players were missing the corresponding department failed heavily and jeopardized the team's cause.
In the current squad announced against Australia now Ajmal, Hafeez, Younis are missing. They may spring surprises with their Bowling department, but the batting department looks completely empty. With a Captain like Afridi, I think it is better to side always with the opposition. He is not a Captain who can inspire this sort of a team given to him towards victories. Afridi himself is a batsman who never understands what the present scenario of the match and how he should bat. Same way while bowling too, if you take any Pakistani Captain, they try over bowl themselves and Afridi is no exception.
Note:
Afridi is only the captain for T20s. This article is written with the idea that he may be handed over with the ODI Captainship also.
06-Oct-2014 – Matador BBQs One-Day Cup – Match# 4 – Victoria v South Australia
Commonwealth Bank Bushrangers v South Australia Redbacks
While the previous match winners are facing off in the 3rd match, the losers are playing the 4th match.
I got the odds from tomwaterhouse.com, as most of the major bookmakers haven’t shared the odds yet. The odds gave me a bit of an odd feeling:). Victoria after receiving a proper trashing are @ 4/6 and South Australia are @ 6/5.
While giving the predictions for the previous match also I felt Victoria’s batting strength is weaker. It has just got compounded by batsmen playing in wrong batting positions and bad form.
South Australia should not persist with Shaun Tait. The way he has been handled by the opposition batsmen makes me think that, South Australia should replace him immediately. Apart from that issue, I still think South Australia has the ability to beat Victoria.
Tip
South Australia – 6/5 – 0.5 Units
06-Oct-2014 – Matador BBQs One-Day Cup – Match# 3 – Queensland v NSW
myFootDr Queensland Bulls v New South Wales Blues
Queensland trashed Victoria in their previous match, NSW defeated South Australia. The winners are facing off against each other in the 3rd Match. The balance of both the teams looks equal. NSW played their previous match also in Brisbane. So they know the ground conditions better than QLD.
It is very tough to predict a team with clear advantage. So I would advise to avoid this match.

Australians will be reinforced with a good set of players for the ODI series. But applying yourself for 50 overs is a different game. More than anything, I would like to see how the Australians cope up with the UAE heat and maintain their fitness throughout the series.

05-Oct-2014 - Only T20 International - Pakistan v Australia - Tips
As per BetVictor odds for the match Australians are @ 8/13, after the initial odds being @ 4/7. This is primarily because, Australians are having a slight shortage of players to choose the right combination of 11 players required. In fact they have only 10 players to choose the 11. In the 13 member squad announced 3 are occupied in CL T20. And Mitchell Marsh is ruled out because of an injury. Looks like only Cameron Boyce of Hobart Hurricanes will make it back. The backup resources must be picked from the ODI squad members.
I thought that the Australians had an excellent chance to win the match. But with Maxwell and Cummins unavailable and Pakistan holding the sub-continent advantage I'm not thoroughly convinced.
Going to use this match as an indicator for this series. Going with the favorites with small stakes, just because the Pakistani team's selection hasn't impressed me.

Kolkata fans are defending their team saying that Narine has leaked runs in all the finals he played, but his teams still won.
I don't find this argument valid. Even though he has gone for some runs, he has bowled all his 4 overs. When the World's best T20 spinner goes for runs like these, think about any other bowler. The other point Kolkata fans are missing is, CSK is looking for any weakness in Kolkata's armour to break their winning streak. Yesterday Chennai managed to find it against Punjab and broke Punjab's winning streak against them. With Sunil Narine missing there is no one to stop Chennai's late charge.

02-Oct-2014 - CL T20 - Chennai Super Kings v Kings XI Punjab
Powerful batting units and weak bowling units. Batsmen have a hard time of converting their starts to big scores. But still the scorecard ends always with 160+ totals.
I started having a strange feeling about this match today afternoon, once I saw Bet365 changing CSKs odds to 8/11 from 4/5. So do the bookmakers think Chennai is that powerful? I don't really want to predict.
KXIP have won all their matches in Mohali. Both are travelling to Hyderabad. But Chennai is on a losing streak against Punjab and KKR. Whenever they were on such a streak they bounced back strongly.
So I identified a different stat to come to a conclusion to this match tip. All the major T20 leagues' (IPL, BBL, Ram-Slam) Semi-Finals had both the teams @ 6/4 odds, some point in the game. So I expect the same to happen here.

02-Oct-2014 - CL T20 - Kolkata Knight Riders v Hobart Hurricanes
There are many similarities between these teams. Both teams have problem areas in their batting line up to address. Both the teams expect their best spinner to spearhead the attack [Narine and Doherty]. Both teams have an important batsman coming back to form [Pandey for KKR and Malik for Hobart].
Hobart have posted their highest score in this tournament [186 in 19 overs while chasing 185], against Cobras in this venue [Uppal Stadium]. But KKR have won 4 out of 4 matches here. They have stopped their 3 oppositions to exactly 151. Even the powerful Chennai Super Kings line-up could only get 157 against them.
Gambhir, Kallis and Ten doeschate are out of form. Yusuf Pathan hasn't got many chances to showcase his form. This is the only worry KKR have. Already Uthappa and Pandey in good form, if any one of these 3 batsmen make a good score, it's bad news for Hobart.
