These 2 teams are meeting each other for the first time this tournament. This is the 1st Ram Slam match at Benoni also.
So I went back to check what happened at Momentum ODI cup. Titans and Lions have met once. Titans lost chasing 260 which they should have won. Benoni hosted 1 Momentum ODI this season. The match was called off because of a dangerous pitch.
When 3 matches happened on the same day in Ram Slam, there was always a match won by underdogs. So I'm setting my sight at this match for the surprise.
Why? You can't create a batting paradise from a dangerous pitch. The best thing you can produce is a bowling surface. If Gayle is not there or he fails, Titans will attempt for that desperate win they are searching for. Titans are not a bad team. They are just on a bad form. Also Lions batting unit is painfully slow.
